RCN 3h Race - Season final 2018 with the new VW Golf 7 Cup SR

Chilly temperature and changing weather during this year 3h race was making the conditions extremely challenging. But our drivers Stefan Tribelhorn (Lichtenstein) and Carsten Erpenbach (Cologne) did a great job and became very quick familiar with the new race car. The enthusiasm of the pilots for the car was amazing.    For the race day try autumn weather was predicted and the car has been prepared for the race with slick-tyres. Since the weather at the nuerburgring is always week you can't rely on the weather forecast. Hence we was prepared for the spontaneous starting gentle rain and able to change at the right time from slick to wet tyres. Stefan completed the whole first stint on slicks before he rendered the car to Carsten. Also he started his race  on slicks until the second duty pit stop where he changed on rain tyres for wet conditions. He became very familiar with the new car and everything operated perfectly hence he where able to catch in the last lap the essential position in the class ranking.

Position 5 of 10 in the highly competitive class RS3A due to several TCR-cars and overall position 19 of 146 started cars it tells its own tale. With a fast lap of 10min:6s on the combination of GP-circuit and Northloop we are going very satisfied and optimistic in the winter time and looking forward to a great season 2019.
